Pony cars are a North-American tradition, pretty much like hot hatches in Europe and “urban off-roads” in Brazil. However, from the heyday during the 1970s, this segment had a strong decline in the 1980s, was almost extinguished in the 1990s, and started to struggle its way back to the spotlights only in the late 2000s – although with many cars less. After Mustang entered a whole new generation and Camaro received a minor facelift, Dodge throws its own as-fast-as-stylish representative back in the game with an equidistant solution.
