Click to see in high resolutionAfter the releasing Citan and creating the upcoming Renault Twingo and smart fortwo from the same project, now it’s time for the Mercedes-Benz/Renault-Nissan partnership generate benefits for Infiniti once again. The new four-cylinder engine appears exclusively in China but it’s already confirmed that it’ll be offered elsewhere. Although there aren’t consumption or performance information yet, it produces 211 cv and 32.5 kgfm. This is Q50’s second German propeller, following a turbo-diesel 2.2L unit of 170 cv and 40.6 kgfm.

BMW and Mercedes-Benz at least stick to numbers no longer according to the car’s engines, but other strategies seem to be understood only by their own creators. A few days ago Infiniti has announced some changes to theirs in order to simplify it, but also showed some very interesting small teasers. So what could be a better way to release that new naming method than with a whole new car using it?
