Besides all that, a product capable of catching up with all the tendencies established in this industry while retaining the same character which built its reputation decades ago. At a first sight, one can easily think this is nothing but another full-size SUV, which is sold for an amount of money as large as most of its characteristics. However, the truth is Toyota managed to make Land Cruiser a timeless car in a wonderful sense of the expression.

The front fascia was refreshed with smoother lines, sportier air intake, and redesigned projector headlights with LEDs. At the rear, there are retouched bumper and lights, while the sides remained untouched. The only update performed to the cabin was better soundproofing. The performance part stayed exactly the same, which means you’ll still get an Atkinson 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired to an electric unit, which are good for combined 99-hp power and 21.3-kpl average consumption.

Toyota Hilux LimitedPara o SUV, a maior novidade foi completar sete ocupantes, na versão SR que custa R$ 122.280 – as mais caras somam revestimento interno em preto, em opção ao bege. Já a picape ganhou a SRV Flex, com tração 4x2, câmbio automático (quatro marchas), motor 2.7 de 163 cv e preço R$ 99.990. Mas ela chama mais atenção para a Limited Edition, que estreou no Salão do Automóvel: suas três mil unidades contam com adesivos externos, rodas de liga leve em preto fosco, tapetes exclusivos e uma série de acessórios de concessionária, como santantônio e protetor dianteiro. Por R$ 155.650, ela traz motor 3.0 turbodiesel, câmbio automático e tração integral.

Hatchback e sedã ganharam acabamento das portas em tecido, maçanetas cromadas, novo indicador de combustível, relógio digital, o volante do Corolla, e as cores azul Techno e branco Pérola. A XS soma acabamento das portas em tecido, novo sistema de áudio com Bluetooth e comandos no volante. XLS e Cross trazem novo padrão de bancos, luzes de seta nos retrovisores e volante em couro. Já a topo-de-linha Platinum incorpora uma central de entretenimento, que inclui GPS, TV digital e leitor de DVD.

The front fascia received LEDs for both headlights and DRLs, and a retouched grille with black finishing. The rear has restyled lights and license plate area, and there are two new colors. Inside, there are new inserts in dark chrome, and a new 4.2” touchscreen for the infotainment system. Technical changes regard retuned suspension, better soundproofing and Euro 6-compliant powertrain: a combustion 99-hp 1.8L paired to an 81-hp electric engine, with lithium-ion batteries and a combined maximum of 136 hp.

The Indian compact received nothing but a new front grille, which doesn’t actually help much to make it look better – chrome trim for the sedan and body color for the hatchback, which is called Liva at that country. Besides that, there are new seat covers, more chrome inserts inside and front airbags as standard. Upscale versions also added power mirrors, rear obstacle detector and sound alert for doors left open, headlights left turned on and seat belts not fastened. Everything else is unchanged.

Agora o acabamento SRV também se associa ao motor 2.7 16v flex (potência de 158 e 163 cv, com gasolina e etanol) e à tração 4x2, sempre com câmbio automático de quatro marchas – espera-se preço pouco menor que o da mesma SRV com tração 4x4 e movida a diesel (foto). Sua lista de equipamentos inclui ar-condicionado digital e central de entretenimento, que por sua vez inclui câmera de ré, navegador GPS, leitor de DVD, sistema de áudio multimídia e televisor digital.
