Yes, it was taken by Dodge once again. As a last-minute attempt to increase its sales, the company added 5 hp to its 8.4L V10 (reaching 645) and some options to the trim list: GT is a base Viper which receives GTS’ leather/faux suede interior and adjustable suspension. TA 2.0 improves Time Attack with several additional internal and external performance accessories (96 units), and GTS Ceramic Blue combines the color to a cabin with nappa leather, faux suede and carbon fiber (40 units). Some versions also feature two new external colors, and all of them got new interior treatment in Demonic Red.

Depois da vinda do irmão Fiat Freemont, o crossover médio da Dodge teve suas vendas brasileiras direcionadas a um público mais exigente. Ele perdeu a versão de entrada, passou a vir somente com o motor 3.6 V6 de 280 cv e, mais recentemente, teve a vinda de sua edição especial Crossroad confirmada para cá. Porém, antes dela vem a tração integral, que funciona sob demanda e leva a versão R/T aos R$ 129.900 – um aumento de R$ 5 mil. Tanto a R/T com tração dianteira como a SXT (R$ 112.900) continuam com a oferta inalterada.

The modern-day Charger is one of those vehicles which people may find difficult to comprehend. After all, even though its ressurrection dates back to 2006, most people will still have the ‘1960s coupé as the first association to this nameplate for many years. Não é todo dia que se vê um modelo mudar a imagem de forma tão abrupta como o Journey. Sua primeira aparição aqui foi com o modelo antigo e em várias versões porque ele tinha que agradar a gostos e bolsos variados. Mas depois veio a compra da Chrysler pela Fiat, e a troca de projetos. O irmão Freemont acabou fazendo sucesso aqui e na Europa porque usa o preço mais baixo como atrativo, então o Dodge teve que se reinventar com um face-lift e ganhando mais requinte para fazer a oferta do grupo nos degraus superiores.

Definitivamente a linha Journey está fazendo sucesso no Brasil. Seja pelas linhas imponentes tipicamente americanas, pelo interessante motor 2.7 V6, ou mais ainda pela combinação disso tudo a preços excelentes, o crossover realmente foi bem aceito por aqui.

Prova disso é que mesmo tendo recebido a versão esportiva R/T há pouco tempo, agora é a SE quem desembarca, esta mais acessível e que chega por R$ 85.900. No exterior, as únicas perdas são o rack de teto e as rodas, que mesmo medindo 16’’ usam calotas, o que pode desagradar bastante neste tipo de carro. Mas os pontos fortes já começam sob o capô: o SE vem com o mesmo motor dos irmãos mais caros, que produz 185 cv.

Na cabine, também se notam os cinco lugares, em contraste com os sete da versão pioneira SXT, mas os que não se desagradarem com isso vão se surpreender com a lista de itens: sistema de som que lê MP3 e DVD e possui seis alto-falantes, airbags frontais e laterais, e freios com ABS, além dos controles de estabilidade, tração, e assistência em emergência.

Dodge Journey

Lançado aqui no segundo semestre do ano passado, o Journey segue o novo conceito de carros, o crossover, que reúne qualidades de sedãs e minivans com a imponência da carroceria de um utilitário esportivo, ou SUV. O lado minivan do Journey se revela em seus numerosos porta-objetos pela cabine, e em seus sete lugares. Por outro lado, o desenho linhas retas e a altura elevada remetem aos SUVs. Já o generoso pacote de equipamentos de série da versão única SXT lembra os sedãs de luxo, incluindo seis airbags, controle de estabilidade e freios ABS. Sob o capô, o Journey traz um 2.7 V6 de 185 cv, que lhe confere uma aceleração de 0 a 100 km/h em cerca de 11 segundos. Seus preços começam na faixa dos 100 mil reais.
